“Look at me when I’m talking to you” is not aneurodivergent-affirming approach to supporting children and youth—but it is aphrase many caregivers and providers may default to. Utilizing a framework ofcuriosity and compassion, this training will help providers gain insight andstrategies for working with neurodiverse children and their families. Trainerswill dispel myths, introduce environmental considerations for youth, andunderscore the intersection of trauma, substance use disorder, andneurodiversity.
