Objective: Introduce TIA and the purpose of trauma integration planning.

In this first session we’ll set the stage by exploring what it means to be trauma-informed and why trauma integration is critical to effective prevention, treatment, and recovery in behavioral health. We’ll begin building a shared understanding of SAMHSA’s trauma-informed approach and lay the groundwork for organizational change.

  • Explore key concepts from SAMHSA's TIA guide
  • Identify the rationale for trauma-informed systems change
  • Share community agreements and goals

At the end of this session participants will be able to:
