Welcome to Volume 2 of Supporting Youth and Young Adults Impacted by Substance Use in Massachusetts: Toolkit for Professionals! The purpose of this toolkit is to provide professionals with education and resources in supporting young people and their families who are impacted by substance use in the community and in programs. The toolkit demonstrates this through outlining prevention, intervention, and treatment approaches within various professional capacities, in two volumes. Volume 2 builds upon the concepts included in Volume 1 (published in August 2025). Both volumes incorporate a trauma-informed, person-centered approach, grounded in cultural humility within a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice (DEIJ) lens.
