The Institute for Health and Recovery’s Project Amp program in Boston is a brief prevention and early intervention model of service that connects adolescents in community and school settings with young adult mentors who have lived/living experience. Mentors facilitate individual meetings using an evidence-informed curriculum to support youth in identifying short and long term goals while building wellness through enhancing strengths, interests, relationships, and community connections. Mentors also facilitate discussions on adolescent perceptions of substance use and mental health.
Funded through the Bureau of Substance Addiction Services.
