IHR Engages Community at Success Fest with Workshops and Resource Sharing

The Institute for Health and Recovery (IHR) was proud to participate in this year’s Success Fest, hosted by the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health (DMH), held at Nichols College on Friday, March 13.

IHR hosted an information table where attendees—including DMH clients, providers, parents, and caregivers—connected with staff from our Tobacco, FASD, and Youth teams. These conversations highlighted the breadth of IHR’s services and our commitment to supporting individuals and families across Massachusetts.

IHR staff also contributed to the day’s programming through two well-attended workshops. Talia Bryant and Jordan Mackin presented “The Lowdown on Nicotine: More Products, More to Know,” offering practical, up-to-date information on the evolving landscape of nicotine products. Reuben Kittrell led “Understanding and Supporting FASD: A Deep Dive into a Common Yet Underrecognized Disability,” helping participants build knowledge and strategies to better support families, individuals, and peers impacted by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder and prenatal alcohol exposure.

IHR’s presence at Success Fest reflects our ongoing commitment to community engagement, education, and equipping providers and families with the tools they need to support recovery and well-being.
