  • Engaging homeless mothers around substance abuse, HIV/AIDS, and co-occurring disorders: This training describes a clinical outreach and case management program specifically designed to engage homeless families with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders living in emergency shelters.
  • Designing a clinical assessment outreach model for working with homeless families: This workshop includes an overview of strengths-based practice, Motivational Enhancement, and Relational Theory, and how they can be integrated to create a model of care that builds trust.
  • Working in collaboration with systems and agencies involved with homeless families: This training incorporates the importance of collaborations on the local, regional and/or state service provider systems involved in the lives of homeless families. Cross-systems, affecting homeless families, will focus on understanding mandates, finding a common ground and developing action plans.
