Expanding Treatment

Moms Do Care/HPC

IHR coordinates this project designed to expand access to Medication Assisted Treatment for pregnant women, and to enhance the services they receive. Moms Do Care utilizes a multi-pronged approach to care for pregnant and postpartum women with opioid use disorders.

The initial project is sited at two hospitals on Cape Cod (Falmouth and Hyannis) and at UMass Medical in Worcester. IHR provides training, consultation, and supervision in trauma informed, gender specific treatment and support, works with hospitals, and Medication Assisted Treatment programs, and coordinates multiple project activities related to improving birth outcomes.
